            Fashion Week is the greatest time of the year for any fashionista. Street style during fashion week is becoming just as important, if not more important, as the designers’ collections. Most of us are not lucky enough to snag a seat in the fashion shows but the Internet has made it very easy for anyone in the world to view the latest trends walking down the runway. These are some of my favorite collections and street style looks from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week!

Collections:

1) Diane von Furstenberg- 2015 Pre-Fall Ready-to-Wear

This collection was my favorite of the four. All of the pieces look to be very 70s inspired, which is not unusual for Diane von Furstenberg. When von Furstenberg started her business, her wrap dress quickly became a staple in a woman’s wardrobe. 41 years later at New York Fashion Week, the wrap dress was still my favorite part of the collection. When worn with tall boots, they look ultra stylish and flattering, yet comfortable.

            February’s Boxycharm finally came! This month I was a little disappointed in one of the products. The box came with a nail polish from ncLA called “Heart Attack” which would have been very cute to wear on Valentine’s Day, but I received the box on February 18^th.

I’m excited to try the Jing Ai Velvet Lip Jewel and play with the Modern Minerals Duo Fiber Mini Round Brush. The face mask from Mullein & Sparrow seems really interesting. The mask comes in a powder form and you mix that with water to create a paste. I’ve never seen a mask like this, so I’m excited to try it!

            For the last two years, I have been a subscriber to both Birchbox and Ipsy beauty boxes. These boxes are $10 each and offer 4 to 5 small samples of makeup, skincare and hair care products. The samples were so small that I could usually only use them once. Using a product one time will not give you a full understanding of how it works with your skin or hair. Because I felt I was not getting my money’s worth, I decided to cancel both subscriptions and sign up for Boxycharm. Boxycharm is a $21 monthly beauty box with full-size or deluxe size samples of makeup and beauty products.

            Going to London was one of the main reasons I wanted to study abroad in Europe. Ever since I read the Harry Potter series and learned who the Beatles were, it was my dream to go to London. Since then I have fallen in love with many other British things including English accents, The Smiths and fish & chips. Sadly, I had only two full days (and one afternoon/night) to experience everything London has to offer.
